Drawing of my school art building at night. To do this piece, I drew charcoal all over the page, then used a kneaded eraser to draw the light parts.

charcoal, 3 hrs.

why didnt you draw it on black paper with white ink ? :)

also if you make a mistake ink is alot harder to "get rid of" compared to charcol

I love that this is a drawing by an eraser essentially. Great technique. Have you heard of an oil-wipeout? It's the same thing, only with oil paints.

This technique was fun to try, I'd never done it before this art class. And no, I've never heard of oil wipeout, but I'll certainly look into it! I haven't had much opportunity to use oils so, far, all my classes have been with acrylics, but I have the opportunity to take an advanced oil painting class next year, so we'll see. :D
