Turnaround of a playable race I designed for an MMO (previous designs here:
[link] [link] [link] [link] [link]). The original file had layers that could be turned on and off, so it might be a bit confusing with them all mashed together. The green shows the folded position of the main claws, and the folded and unfolded positions of the elytra and wings. The blue shows the folded and unfolded positions of the hidden piercing claws. The top right makes the folding mechanism slightly clearer, but don't pay attention to the colors there, they're unrelated. This is the final piece I did on this project. I kind of regret never getting around to color variations or a finished illustration of this one the way I did with the lizardmen (
[link] [link] [link]), since the game lost funding, and I got busy with other stuff.
